Dorsal Academy

Come join the Parent meeting July 3 – 7:00 PM at Centennial Arena, White Rock.

Facilitating the meeting will be Dr. Jacobsen and Teresa Jenkins Dorsal’s Director of Education.  These meetings are for Parents to come and participate in an open floor dialogue to discover if Dorsal is the right fit for their child and why remediation is an option.

I understand the hesitation of Parents to invest their child’s education with an unknown.  However, the school may be new but the methodology (Orton Gillingham and direct instruction) that will be used to instruct the children is a proven therapeutic remediation program.

From my own personal experience as a Parent, I took a chance and removed my child from their regular classroom and enrolled her in a remediation program.  This was the best decision that I was ever given the opportunity to make.  The difference the remediation program made in giving her back her confidence as a learner was worth it.  I knew I made the right choice when my daughter told me that she finally felt like she was understood and that she was no longer hesitant about her capabilities.  She was given the tools she needed to be the learner that she had the potential to be.

I am hoping that you take an opportunity to come and join the discussion at our next Parent meeting on July 3 at Centennial Arena, White Rock.
